July 18-23, 2005

After much anticipation and preparation, our student outreach project with Book of Hope Philippines was carried out with victory! Praise God for a successful evangelistic project! To God be all the glory! Here is the schedule of the week-long Book of Hope outreach in a nutshell:

  • Sunday (July 10) - Training of local volunteers. Around 20 volunteers signed up.
  • Sunday (July 17) - Affect Destiny arrives in Manila.
  • Monday (July 18) - Book of Hope distribution in Metropolitan Hospital College of Nursing.
  • Tuesday (July 19) - Book of Hope distribution in Hope Christian High School, Jin Nan Institute and Lorenzo Ruiz Academy.
  • - Hopefest at 5PM. 26 students from different schools attended for an afternoon of bands & programs. 17 gave their hearts to the Lord!
  • Wednesday (July 20) - Book of Hope distribution in Manila Patriotic Academy
  • Friday (July 22) - Book of Hope distribution in Sun Yat Sen High School
  • - 1st SFXtreme Student Fellowship held. 16 students attended.
  • Saturday (July 23) - Art Attack (bridging event for preschool & elementary students). About 30 students came.
Hopefest was the bridging event for high school students who received Book of Hope. The set was staged to mimic a band concert with lighting and instruments. The Affect Destiny team from Las Vegas and Florida presented a skit, Dean (AD) gave a testimony and Jason (AD) shared a message. There were 26 students who came from the schools who were given Book of Hope. 17 students gave their hearts to Jesus after hearing the message.
